George Blanda and Gloria Stuart passed away – George Blanda, a famous quarterback and Gloria Stuart, an actress, both of them with initial “G” passed away two days ago. When they died, Gloria was 100 and George was 83 years old. We can imply that they have faced many things, from sweet to bitter ones, in their lives.
George Blanda, the hall of fame quarterback, was also popular as “The Grand Old Man” among teammates. Blanda was born in September of 1927, and he was born as football player. When he resigned from football 49 years later, he has played more seasons and scored more points than anyone else. Throughout his career, he has played for NFL, AFL, the Houston Oilers, Oakland Raiders, Baltimore Colts, and one other franchise that is Chicago Bear.
Talking about the other “G” – Gloria Stuart, who also lost her life, she is also famous in America in early days, but she did it as an actress. Gloria has played acting more than 70 years on films, television, and on stage, and her popular acting was when she played in “the invisible man” as Claude Rains’ g f. She got an Academy Award for her performance in Titanic.
Both of them – George Blanda and Gloria Stuart – have colored the American history with their own ways, which are different but truly amazes us. Hopefully, they will rest in peace, and there will be others American Guy which can be like them.
